Five years ago, I attended one of Fi’s yoga classes as an experiment as I had never done any sort of yoga before. I wasn’t sure what to expect. And there I trodded in on my first class dressed completely inappropriately, everyone else very elegantly in white. After that first class, I was like an energizer bunny for what felt like forever. Needless to say, I haven’t looked back since, and can’t imagine not having my weekly dose of kundalini yoga. I am often gifted by the universe to teach a yoga class if Fi is not available! I had thought for years that it would be good to do – because of the stretching and toning, and also the meditative aspect was very appealing with the stressful job that I have. I then heard that Fi did classes, and joined. What a superb decision! Just up the road, conveniently situated and the class time fits in well to my own schedule.
I enjoy the space, the peace it brings, feeling grounded and centered afterwards. The improved flexibility it has brought to my body is great – and love that I sleep like a log afterwards!!
I found over the 2 year period of going to yoga classes with Fi that I became definitely more supple. When I did yoga each week I had more energy that evening than any other day in the week, and also slept better that night. I am now practicing yoga almost every day – the weekly class with Fi and the rest of the time at home in the morning before work – giving me a fresh and centered start to my day.
I think I’m hooked! Fi has a lovely personalized teaching style and is always careful to ensure that her students are not straining any vulnerable muscles. The class is tailored to accommodate each individuals body, taking into account weaknesses and strengths of all participants. The care that she shows is wonderful, I always feel as if have been nurtured after the class. We also have a lively sense of humor in the class which is fabulous
Kundalini yoga for me is a way to train my mind to be still even when my muscles are screaming, and to exercise and stretch my body. Kundalini yoga is a good work out class.
After a yoga session with Fi , I always feel relaxed and grounded.
